Howard R. Lipson, Ph.D.
Howard Lipson, Owner/Principal of Lipson & Co., is highly regarded as one of the industrys most intuitive and disciplined executive recruiters. Howard obtained his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Organization Theory at Northwestern University. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Honors Psychology from Brandeis University.
After receiving his doctorate, Howard returned to Montreal and joined Astral Media, Canadas largest, fully integrated entertainment company. He reported directly to the Chairman/CEO and oversaw co-productions with the US, Canada,the United Kingdom, France and Israel.
Howard became Vice President, Development, at Montreal-based RSL Films (now Alliance Atlantis Communications). He produced the feature film "Paradise", shot in Israel and starring Phoebe Cates.
In 1982, Howard moved to Los Angeles where he worked in executive search..
In 1985, he established his executive search firm, Lipson & Co., based in Los Angeles, California.
Howard has served on the Board of Directors of Starlight Children's Foundation, a non-profit wish granting organizatio. He is a member of BAFTA-LA
Harriet L. Lipson
Since joining Lipson & Co. in 1990, Harriet has completed numerous senior level executive searches in the Consumer Products, Video Games, Digital Media and Licensing industries.
Harriet began her career in advertising, commercials and cable production. She worked in Montreal, London and Los Angeles for worldwide agencies including Ogilvy & Mather, Young & Rubicam, Wells Rich Greene and Ted Bates Worldwide.
Her clients included Mattel, Microsoft, Nestle, Nabisco, LA Gear, RJR Foods, Johnson & Johnson and Merck Frosst.
Harriet is a native of Montreal and a graduate of McGill University. She was selected for Ogilvy & Mather’s Global Leadership Training Program after she relocated to
California in 1984.
She has served as a Member of the Board of Directors of The Starlight Foundation, a non-profit, wish granting organization. She is an active member of The Los Angeles County Museum and The Getty Center and has devoted time to Project Angel Food, The Humane Society of the United States and Best Friends Animal Society.
